Legislative Committee

Responsible for working closely with the AACOP legislative agent to develop a legislative agenda on issues of concern to law enforcement and the Association. In conjunction with the AACOP legislative agent, the committee shall monitor pending legislation; develop and coordinate membership involvement in the legislative process; provide testimony before the Legislature; communicate and coordinate the Association’s legislative agenda with other law enforcement associations; and select legislators for recognition by the Association for assistance in accomplishing legislative goals.
